Job Description:

We are currently looking for a reliable with min of 6ths on road experience Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Wirral, CH62 4UY. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing logistics company with an excellent reputation in the industry.

As a Class 1 Driver, your primary duties will include:

• Trunking: Transporting goods between various distribution centers.

• Store Deliveries: Occasionally making store deliveries, with typically 3 drops per shift.

• Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely and on time.

• Adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and legal requirements.

• Completing necessary paperwork and ensuring accurate records of deliveries.

• Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out long-distance trunking runs and sometimes store deliveries.

• Perform vehicle checks before and after each journey to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.

• Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently.

• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring all laws and regulations are adhered to.

• Ensure that deliveries are made promptly and accurately, with good communication throughout.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 HGV license.

• CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.

• Previous driving experience, ideally with trunking and multi-drop deliveries.

• A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A professional attitude to customer service.

• Excellent knowledge of driving regulations and road safety.

Desirable:

• Experience with multi-drop or store deliveries.

• Competitive hourly rate between £16.25 – £21.80, depending on experience.
