Class 2 Driver – Double Tacho Work

Location: Wakefield
Rate: £17ph for first 8 hours, £21ph after 8 hours
Hours: Between 4am and 6am starts, average 16 hour shifts but can be less or more depending on traffic and the run. The shift pattern is Friday/Saturday and Sunday with the option to pick up additional shifts in the week if wanted.
Contract: Ongoing work or 12 week temp to perm if wanted.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver for double tacho work. This role is ideal for drivers who are flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a two-man driving operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle as part of a double-manned crew

• Sharing driving duties in line with EU Drivers’ Hours regulations

• Ensuring accurate use of tachographs and compliance at all times

• Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting

• Safe, professional delivery of goods

• Maintaining high standards of customer service

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous experience with double tacho work is preferred but not essential

• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and working time regulations

• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach

• Good communication and teamwork skills
