Class 1 Shunter – Nights

Location: Plymouth
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday, Start times between 22:30 – 00:30 (8-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: £16.67 per hour (pre-parity) up to £17.46 (post parity) 
Start Date: Immediate

Are you a reliable and experienced Class 1 driver looking for night work in the Plymouth area? We’re currently recruiting for a Class 1 Shunter to join a busy and friendly team, operating in a secure yard environment.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing:

• Shunting Class 1 trailers around the yard

• Ensuring safe manoeuvring and parking of trailers

• Working closely with the transport and yard teams to maintain efficient operations

• Following all site safety protocols and driving regulations

Shift Pattern:

• Sunday to Thursday nights

• Start times between 22:30 and 00:30

• 8-hour shifts

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card

• Previous shunting experience is preferred

• A positive attitude and a commitment to safety
