About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Operative to join our warehouse team, specialising in the production of emergency lighting units. You will be responsible for assembling components, testing products, and ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble emergency lighting units from individual components, following detailed work instructions.

  • Use hand tools and small machinery to build, fit, and secure parts.

  • Perform basic wiring and electrical assembly work in line with technical specifications.

  • Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on assembled products.

  • Test emergency lighting to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.

  • Accurately label, package, and prepare completed products for storage or dispatch.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health & safety procedures.

  • Report any faults, defects, or production issues to the supervisor promptly.

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred.

  • Basic understanding of electrical components and wiring (training provided).

  • Ability to follow technical drawings and written instructions.

  • Good attention to detail and quality control.

  • Manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts.

  • Awareness of health & safety procedures in a workshop or warehouse setting.
