Contract Manager – Roofing

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for an experienced Contract Manager to lead a roofing contract based in Redditch, working predominantly with a local authority client.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven roofing professional to take full operational responsibility for a live contract covering reactive repairs and planned new roof installations. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

The Role

As Contract Manager, you will oversee site teams and subcontractors while maintaining close communication with the client and senior management team. You will ensure smooth delivery from initial survey through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full management of a roofing contract (repairs & new installations)

  • Surveying new works, reviewing drawings, measurements & site conditions

  • Managing subcontractors and direct labour to ensure programme adherence

  • Acting as main point of contact for the local authority client

  • Attending and leading progress meetings

  • Managing materials, plant hire, waste, and off-hire processes

  • Overseeing quality control and closing out snagging works

  • Identifying and managing variations

  • Ensuring full H&S compliance including RAMS, permits, PPE & site inspections

  • Maintaining accurate reporting, site documentation & handovers

About You

  • Proven experience as a Contract Manager or Senior Site Manager within roofing

  • Strong knowledge of roofing repairs and new roof installations

  • Experience working with local authority clients

  • Good commercial awareness (variations, cost control, subcontract management)

  • Strong H&S knowledge and compliance understanding

  • Confident client-facing communicator

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • SMSTS (desirable)
