Are you a fire protection professional ready to play a vital role in safeguarding buildings and infrastructure? Our client, a leader in delivering high-integrity solutions across the nuclear and construction sectors, is seeking a Fire Engineer (Passive Fire Protection) to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to major projects, ensuring fire safety compliance through expertly designed and implemented passive fire protection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Fire Protection Design Engineerdesign and specify passive fire protection systems in line with BS EN standards and ASFP guidance.
- As a Fire Protection Design Engineer, you will review and develop Engineered Judgments (EJs) for fire-stopping applications.
- As a Fire Protection Design Engineer, you will support the preparation of technical submittals, fire strategy documents, and installation guidance.
- As a Fire Protection Design Engineer, you will stay abreast of industry standards, fire testing protocols, and regulatory developments.
- You will provide expert advice on fire-stopping, fire dampers, compartmentation, and structural fire protection.
- You will Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure installation accuracy and quality.
- You will conduct site visits to verify fire protection measures and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in passive fire protection design and fire-stopping systems.
- Strong understanding of compartmentation, structural fire protection, and fire strategy principles.
- Familiarity with fire-stopping products, certification schemes (e.g., FIRAS, BM TRADA), and test reports.
- Experience working with Engineered Judgments and fire engineering assessments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and fire strategy reports.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
✅ Qualifications & Accreditations:
- Degree or equivalent in Fire Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or a related field.
- Membership of professional bodies such as IFE, ASFP, or IFSM is highly desirable.
