Area Cleaning Manager

Location: Liverpool (multi-site role)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000 + Vehicle + Fuel Card

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a portfolio of sites across Liverpool. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining high cleaning standards, managing cleaning operatives, and building strong client relationships.

You will play a key role in ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction across a variety of commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple sites

  • Manage, support, and motivate cleaning operatives and supervisors

  • Conduct regular site audits and quality inspections to ensure high standards

  • Recruit, train, and induct new staff

  • Manage rotas, staffing levels, and absence cover

  • Maintain health & safety compliance across all sites

  • Manage stock control and order cleaning supplies as required

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, handling queries and resolving issues promptly

  • Monitor KPIs and ensure contractual obligations are met

  • Produce reports for senior management as required

About You

  • Previous experience in a cleaning management or supervisory role

  • Experience managing multiple sites is highly desirable

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities

  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills

  • Knowledge of cleaning standards, COSHH, and health & safety regulations

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
