Job Title: Driver’s Mate – Furniture Delivery

Location: Baginton, Coventry 
Salary: £14.00 ph
Hours: 0400-0600 start times 

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver’s Mate to join our  clients delivery team. You will assist the driver with the safe and efficient delivery of furniture items to customers’ homes and businesses. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting, good teamwork, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and unloading furniture onto the delivery vehicle.

• Safely handle, carry, and position furniture in customers’ homes or workplaces.

• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and to a high standard.

• Provide excellent customer service, including polite and professional interaction at delivery sites.

• Check delivery paperwork and ensure goods are handled with care to avoid damage.

• Assist the driver with navigation and route planning where required.

• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and follow all health & safety procedures.

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Good level of customer service and professionalism.

• Punctual, reliable, and hardworking.

• Previous experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).

• Flexibility with working hours, including weekends if required.
