Operations Administrator – 3-Month FTC
Salary: £30,967 per year (pro-rata)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Norwich
Contract: 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Winner Recruitment is working with a major national logistics and parcel distribution business to recruit an organised and proactive Operations Administrator. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of admin, operations support, and fast-paced problem solving.
You’ll play a key part in supporting the morning operation, managing essential documentation, coordinating with drivers, and keeping operational records accurate and up to date.
The Role
As an Operations Administrator, you’ll handle a wide range of admin and operational tasks that help keep the depot running smoothly day-to-day. From morning debriefs to driver documentation, system checks and site coordination, you’ll be at the centre of the operation every morning.

Key Responsibilities
- Support with morning de-brief and driver allocations
- Complete driver documentation and ensure accuracy in line with company procedures
- Review defect reports and escalate issues appropriately
- Carry out daily administrative tasks and maintain organised filing systems
- Allocate collections to driver routes and monitor scanning activity
- Check discrepancies in Opsys (or equivalent systems)
- Manage hold bay checks and reconcile parcels against run sheets
- Handle incoming calls from customers, drivers, or internal teams
- Keep stationery levels stocked and maintain depot supply records
- Maintain accurate records for drivers, depot spending, and subcontractor usage
- Set up new drivers/CNRs and verify Right to Work documents
- Raise purchase orders and maintain site spending logs
- Process weekly journals, pay summaries, vehicle mileage, and training records
- Support the Site Manager and Supervisor with general admin and operational tasks
About You
This is an entry-level admin role, so full training is provided — but you should bring:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new software
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills for dealing with drivers, customers, and managers
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Experience within logistics administration is helpful but not essential.
