Job Title: Class 1 (HGV) Night Driver
Location: Tilbury, RM18 
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, starting at 15:00 (weekend shifts also available)
Pay Rate: £19.05 – £20.17 per hour (weekly pay)

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Class 1 (HGV) Drivers to join our team for night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent, ongoing work with competitive pay and the option for additional weekend shifts.

You will be operating walking floor units, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with walking floor trailers
• Completing deliveries and collections in a timely and safe manner
• Conducting vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely
• Accurately completing delivery paperwork and logs
• Adhering to all driving laws, regulations, and company procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Experience with walking floor units is preferred but not essential
• Good understanding of UK road networks and driver regulations
• Strong work ethic and reliability
