The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading technical FM provider to recruit an HVAC / Ventilation Project Engineer to join their growing projects team.

This role is ideal for a Senior HVAC or Ventilation Engineer looking to step into a more project-focused position, while still maintaining a level of hands-on involvement.

You’ll benefit from a great mix of site-based work (approx. 75%) and office/project coordination (25%), alongside the flexibility to manage your own diary and workload.

With continued business growth, there is a clear progression route into full Project Management.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of small works projects while supporting the delivery of larger M&E projects across healthcare and other critical environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering HVAC and ventilation small works projects from survey through to completion

• Carrying out installation, upgrades, and fault-finding on AHUs and ventilation systems where required

• Planning and coordinating labour, materials, and subcontractors

• Supporting Project Managers on larger-scale M&E projects

• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations

• Regular site attendance and client liaison

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in HVAC and/or ventilation systems (AHUs, extract systems, etc.)

• Experience leading jobs or delivering small works projects

• Solid understanding of health & safety procedures (RAMS, permits, etc.)

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

• Experience within healthcare or critical environments (desirable)

• Knowledge of HTM 03-01, SFG20, or CIBSE guidelines (advantageous)

• Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND, IOSH, etc.) beneficial but not essential

• Full UK driving licence
