Groundworker Required – Join a Leading Social Housing Contractor

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established property services contractor for an experienced Groundworker to join their responsive repairs and maintenance team covering Oldbury and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Groundworker, you’ll be carrying out a variety of external repairs and maintenance works to domestic social housing properties. The role is varied, with no two days being the same, and you’ll play an important part in maintaining safe, high-quality homes for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundwork and external repairs.
• Repair and renew paths, paving, kerbs and concrete areas.
• Install and repair fencing, gates and posts.
• Undertake drainage repairs, including gullies, channels and minor excavations.
• Complete slab laying, tarmac patching and reinstatement works.
• Carry out brickwork repairs and small masonry works where required.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
• Complete job sheets and paperwork accurately using handheld devices where applicable.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Groundworker, preferably within social housing, property maintenance or repairs.
• Experience carrying out a wide range of groundwork and external maintenance works.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• CSCS Card desirable but not essential.
