The UK’s road transport sector is showing further signs of growth with the number of licensed trucks on the road increasing by more than 1000 in just 28 days.

According to the latest figures from Motor Transport’s MT Fleet Data the number of licensed trucks in the UK increased by 1138 rising from 390168 to 391306.

While a month-on-month increase is only one snapshot of the market the figures provide an encouraging indication of continued activity across the UK’s transport and logistics sector.

For an industry that plays a vital role in keeping goods moving and supporting businesses and maintaining the UK’s supply chains a growing commercial vehicle fleet is a positive sign.
