Winner Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative to join a large, prestigious logistics and manufacturing company based in Tamworth.

Working Hours

AM Shift

Monday to Thursday: 05:50am – 2:00pm

Friday: 05:50am – 12:40pm

PM Shift

Monday to Thursday: 1:50pm – 10:15pm

Friday: 12:30pm – 6:20pm

Rotating weekly shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking goods in and goods out using the internal system
  • Stock counting and inventory management
  • Line feeding materials using a Forklift Truck or LLOP truck
  • Ensuring deliveries are distributed to the correct departments
  • Loading and unloading vans and deliveries
  • Booking stock in and organising goods out
  • Printing and processing relevant paperwork
  • Putting stock away in designated locations
  • Updating stock and order information on Excel spreadsheets
  • Moving stock using PPT or FLT equipment as required
  • Carrying out stock takes and preparing for audits
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy at all times
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
  • Undertaking manual handling duties, including some heavy lifting

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a stores, warehouse, logistics, or inventory environment
  • Strong IT skills with experience using Excel and ERP systems
  • Previous experience updating stock records and inventory systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good numerical skills with the ability to work from order numbers, specifications, and stock codes
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Methodical and organised approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A valid FLT licence and driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential
