HGV Class 1 Driver – Carlisle

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing work based in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected logistics operation, offering consistent work, competitive pay, and great support.

Pay Rates

• £20.34 – £29.42 per hour (dependent on shift and day worked)

Shift Pattern & Start Times

• Any 5 out of 7 days per week – weekend work is required
• Start times between 12:00 – 19:00

Requirements & Criteria

✅ Licence & Entitlement

• Must hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 (CE) licence.
• Full entitlement for the category must be present.
• Digital Tachograph & CPC card must be valid (UK or accepted EU).
• Valid licence check code must be provided before induction.
• Good understanding of English is essential.
• Safety footwear & high-vis vest required.

⏳ Tachograph & Driving Record Requirements

• Digital Tachograph & CPC Card must be valid.
• Applicable period of 6 months prior to card download must be reviewed.
• Infringement restrictions:
• No more than 12 infringement points in any one month.
• No points in any 3 consecutive months within the applicable period.
• Licence entitlement date alone does not demonstrate experience.

Additional Requirements

• Drivers with recent absence due to a reportable medical condition must complete an assessment.
• Eye sight check will be conducted.
• Must not interrupt daily/weekly rest period if driving elsewhere.
