We are seeking a reliable and practical support worker to assist a professional ceramic artist with studio work and workshops. This hands-on role suits someone with a creative/art background and an interest in ceramics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare clay, casting molds, and tools for ceramic production

  • Load and unload kilns, glaze ceramics, and maintain studio cleanliness

  • Assist with setting up and packing down for workshops and events, including travel within the local area

  • Support practical tasks requiring physical assistance due to artist’s disabilities

  • Maintain health and safety standards within the studio and during workshops

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting someone with physical challenges preferred

  • Art background essential; ceramics knowledge is a plus (training available)

  • DBS check and safeguarding training essential due to workshop locations

  • First aid training is desirable but not essential

  • Ability to travel locally and assist with loading/unloading equipment
