Dispatch Clerk – Ryton

Location: Ryton
Pay Rate: £13.29 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30am–7:00pm
Position: Full-time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Dispatch Clerk to join our client’s team in Ryton.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working within a transport office, logistics environment, or dispatching drivers. The successful candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running, with a willingness to learn quickly and become an integral part of the team.

The Role

As a Dispatch Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the dispatch operation. You will communicate with drivers and customers, handle telephone enquiries, and assist with the coordination of deliveries and collections.

The successful candidate will:

• Be reliable, dependable and punctual
• Have good computer and administrative skills
• Be confident answering and handling telephone calls
• Be comfortable dealing with customers and drivers face-to-face
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be able to work well under pressure in a busy environment
• Ideally have previous experience within a transport, logistics or dispatch environment
• Be able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday, 10:30am–7:00pm
£13.29 per hour
