Passive Fire Estimator

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
Location: Gillingham (office based)
Salary Range: £40,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team dedicated to delivering effective fire protection solutions. You will play a key role in providing accurate, competitive quotations and tenders, working on projects that improve building safety and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.

What you will be doing

As a Passive Fire Protection Estimator, you will provide precise cost estimates for both new installations and remedial works across a variety of passive fire protection services, including:

• Fire Doors

• Fire Dampers

• Fire Stopping

• Smoke Control Systems

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for passive fire protection systems

• Interpreting site reports, drawings, and client requirements

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to gather competitive pricing

• Supporting tender submissions and producing proposal documentation

• Collaborating with project managers for smooth project handovers

• Keeping up to date with fire protection regulations and industry best practices

Who we are looking for

We’re seeking someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience in passive fire protection estimating, including fire doors, dampers, fire stopping, and smoke control systems

• Experience with remedial works and a good understanding of fire safety compliance

We are also open to applicants who have:

• Estimating experience in construction, M&E, or related fields, with a strong desire to specialise in passive fire protection

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

• A collaborative and professional approach to working with internal teams and clients
