Winner Recruitment are supporting an employee benefits company based in London with the recruitment of their new Finance Manager. My client has extremely impressive growth plans and expects to scale very quickly over the next few years. Reporting to the CEO/COO, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day finance function. This role will be very hands on.  It will need someone willing to dive into the detail and lead the financial control of the business as it grows. The company offers a fast-paced environment, full of motivated and passionate people.

The duties of the Finance Manager will include:

  • Day-to-day finance operations
  • Management of Xero
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Payment of suppliers
  • Credit control
  • Month end processes
  • Calculating and posting journals for, zero/standard rated sales, sales commissions, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset depreciation
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Liaising with tax specialists on all matters related to corporation tax, R&D tax credit claims and payroll
  • Preparation and presentation monthly management accounts and board packs to key stakeholder of the business
  • Establish robust financial controls, processes and work closely with the Technology Director to automate where possible
  • Monthly profitability reviews of live sales campaigns
  • Merchant facility management
  • Onboarding of new merchants
  • Reconciliations of existing merchant accounts
  • Forecasting and financial modelling
  • Working closely with the CEO/COO to create Cash Flow/ P&L forecasts to support business decisions
  • Building a finance team around you

The ideal Finance Manager will have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant
  • Smart, independent individual that is ambitious and keen to learn quickly
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure
  • Ambitious and passionate about being part of a start-up/scale-up
  • Advance MS Excel skills
  • Experience using PowerBI/Tableau
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Experience using Xero

Salary for the role is circa £60,000 depending on experience, the role also includes a bonus which will be 20% of your salary

Hours of work are 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday
