Position: Purchasing Co-ordinator

Salary / Rate: £17k - £22k per annum

Winner Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Co-ordinator to join one of the UKs stainless steel and non-ferrous product stockholders, you will be joining a team of 8 and will be based at their head office in Wednesbury.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a well establish company who have a real presence in the market.

 

The duties of the Purchasing Co-ordinator include:

 

Co-ordinating of all non-ferrous products

Liaising with suppliers regarding the best prices for your clients

Taking orders from clients and imputing onto the in-house system

Dealing with currency contracts

Producing letters of credit

Stock management

Producing stock reports

Moving of stock

Providing technical product assistance to customers

Providing a high level of customer service to customers

Undertaking various administration duties attached to the role, including putting together information and data input of documents and details

Liaising with various internal department including sales, accounts, warehouse and driving

Managing the inventory to maximise stock availability whilst working within stock allowance targets

Maintain purchasing information and data

 

The ideal Purchasing Co-ordinator with have

 

A can do and positive attitude

Experience within a purchasing role

Experience within the metal or steel industry would be an advantage but not necessary

Strong administration skills

 

Hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours)

 

Salary for this role is circa £22,000

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a successful company based in Wednesbury. The Role will entail responsibility of maintaining the stock of standard items with set allowances.

 

The Key Accountabilities of this role will include:

 

Managing the Inventory to maximise stock availability whilst working within stock allowance targets.

 

Continually improving the standard of service you provide to every customer.

Developing supplier relationships to ensure maximum flexibility, co-operation and favour.

Obtain and communicate any relevant purchasing/market information to the NFPM.

Maintain purchasing information and data.

Continually develop your personal skills and knowledge to improve the effectiveness of your role.

 

Experience required:

 

Experience of negotiating and administering Supply Agreements with suppliers and/or customers.

Experience of delivering high quality customer service.

Demonstrate the ability to remain disciplined and ensure effective time management at all times.

Demonstrate the ability to process high volumes of numeric data and information to ensure accuracy and precision.

Health and safety

Genesys

Product Knowledge

Market Knowledge

 

This is a Permanent role.

 

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours),

 

Salary is £17-22K depending on experience.
